About Me

Welcome! I am Sabrina, the creator and visionary of my small business with a big heart. I provide artistic scrapbooking service and create custom handmade invitations. Since 2015, I have helped my clients with custom invitations and to tell their story and capture their moments.

I was always creative and loved to craft. I would gather my photos into a magnetic photo album and add stickers and drawings. As I got older, my albums became more detailed. I started to journal and embellish my photos with crafty items, trinkets creating scrapbook photo keepsake memory albums.

I live in Vaughan, Ontario with my family. Wife to the love of my life since 2006, mommy to 2 beautiful children and 1 fur-baby and I am an introverted control freak!

In 2008 I lost my mommy and really turned to scrapbooking. At my parents house there were two full drawers of loose photos and I decided to take the time and organize them. I created 2 scrapbook photo albums, preserving photos of my family and especially my mom. This process helped me during one of the most difficult times in my life and I realized the real importance of preserving photo memories. The photo albums give my children the opportunity to know their grandmother through the art of scrapbooking. In 2009, I became a mom and continued scrapbooking, preserving our memories and telling our story.

In 2017, I left my Law Clerk career to be more available for my kids and grow my creative passion. I am honoured to be part of so many of my clients’ celebrations in Canada and the USA. I am very passionate and take great pride in my unique and custom made creations. Thank you for taking the time to read my story.

WHO IS ONCE UPON A CREATION

Once upon a Creation is a unique shop creating custom handmade scrapbook albums, invitations and gifts. Primarily we are about preserving memories through scrapbooking- a celebration of stories captured by the lens of a camera. In our digital world, I want to inspire you to preserve your photos of life’s memories, record of events, experiences, and moments that might be forgotten or lost.

Once Upon a Creation is a platform for my own creative expression and passion for crafting. Every photo has a story to tell, it is more than pictures on a page. Photographs are a narrative of memories, emotions and experiences that go beyond the visual image. I work closely with clients to preserve personal stories and experiences. I create thoughtful and personalized scrapbook gifts for all occasions. I especially love the “Year of Memories” scrapbook album.

I save my clients-especially women time by creating a custom nostalgic treasured collection to share family memories for generations to come. It becomes a family heirloom that provides a level of personal happiness and family organization! When you look through a scrapbook years later, you see the growth of your family and of you! Most importantly the importance of recording moments and personal journeys is appreciated..

Once Upon a Creation designs and creates invitations and all things paper! Compliment the invitation with menus, thank you cards/tags etc. Invitations set the tone of a celebration and are keepsakes for a scrapbook photo album!

It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Let’s start with the heart of my venture, creating family legacy photo albums. A completed book of photos, collection of memories and memorabilia creatively put together telling a family life story to be shared for generations to come.

I want to share the importance of printing our photographs and recording our memories in a fast paced evolving digital world. If we don’t, memories, traditions and legacies can be lost and forgotten. A completed family legacy photo memoir is an act of love that will give you something tangible to connect, learn, reminisce and share for generations. It is not just putting pictures on a page, it is telling a story- your memories-your story.

When you look through your completed album, today or years down the road you are reminded of the importance of recording your memories. You see the growth of your children, your family, of you and are reminded of special life moments and personal journeys.

Special occasions should start with an invitation that is personal and a reflection of the celebration. Your invitation is the first impression your guests will have of the celebration and ultimately a nice keepsake!

My invitations are personalized and handmade using quality products. Set the tone of your celebration with a one of a kind handmade invitation for your next celebration.
Everything else flows from the invitation. i.e. thank you cards, menus, seating cards etc. I have you covered.

Celebrations came to a halt during COVID and I had to pivot. I added custom greeting cards to my collections and expanded my one of a kind personal framed gifts. I like to create items you can not just pick up on a store shelf.

This experience led me to launch Once Upon a Creation and share my passion for preserving memories with others. I have been working with families for years now, helping them to create albums that are not just a collection of pictures, but a story, a story of their lives, their memories and their personal journeys.

I have seen firsthand the impact that a family legacy album can have on a family, and I am passionate about continuing to help families to create and preserve their memories for future generations. Every person, every photo, every moment has a story. At the end of the day it is all about preserving your life story for your kids, your family for years to come! Over many years I made invitations for all my occasions and started doing them for friends and family and was encouraged to market them. I started with an Etsy shop and grew with word of mouth-the best referral. Whatever your occasion, it’s your celebration and it’s important. Your invitation is the first impression your guests will have of the upcoming occasion and ultimately a nice keepsake!

CONSULT

I am so excited you chose handmade! Invitation, menu, thank you card etc., orders will receive a proof within 48 hours. Scrapbook keepsake album we schedule a consultation, there will be lots to cover!

GATHER / SHARE

Once your proof is finalized I will commence your order. For scrapbooks, we will work on photos and the purpose of the project. I will immerse myself in your photos as I want to learn and understand the details so I can tell your story.

More Collection

This applies to scrapbook creations. The collection and organization of the photos is probably the most daunting and time consuming. Next discuss keepsakes and journaling including thoughts, memories and captions for your photos.

Deliver

Your order will be shipped or picked up. For scrapbooks we will most likely arrange a time to meet. I will return any photos or items we may not have used in the album.

Once we have everything gathered, we will meet in person or you can courier them. We will go through it together and the fun starts! I will keep you updated and reach out with any questions.
